Director Franchise Training YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Franchise Training, are to: Partner with franchise Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations leadership to develop sales training curricula, state-of-the-art training tools and materials and related skills development programs to meet franchise training needs; Direct regular training needs assessment activities, proposing and developing solutions to fill training gaps; Function as an integral part of the franchise Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations teams, building trusted partnerships with franchise stakeholders; Represent Learning and Development in the brand planning and business planning processes; Ensure all programming and materials meet regulatory and legal requirements; Foster a learning environment based on adult learning principles that ensures optimal comprehension, development and retention; Stay abreast of training and development best practices and current trends in pharmaceutical, device and biosciences industries
– utilizing current advances within digital platforms; Comprehensive understanding of the latest clinical information related to Bayer HealthCare products and its competition, in order to optimize the delivery and relevance of training materials and programs; Develop and manage the respective franchise fiscal budget related to Learning and Development activities; Evaluate continually needs and potential solutions for opportunities to apply ”above the franchise” solutions which can be more strategically and efficiently applied throughout the franchises and the department; Hire, Train, Coach, Develop and Manage a team of high performing Associate Directors/Subject Matter Experts; Develop and Maintain effective vendor partnerships and Alliance Management relationships to achieve high quality outcomes; Create, monitor and maintain a training schedule to advance the professional development of new hire and tenured field facing colleagues.

More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: Bachelor”s degree; 3+ years experience in the pharmaceutical/medical industry or previous experience in a training organization; Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing and measuring training effectiveness; Strong leadership, collaboration and management competencies and business acumen; Excellent virtual, presentation and verbal skills; Able to work under pressure, to meet short timeframes and to collaborate across groups; Excellent interpersonal skills and the be able to interact seamlessly with all levels; Strong project management experience: be able to prioritize effectively; Experience in communicating thoughts and ideas with executive levels of leadership
– written and oral communications; Maintain confidentiality where appropriate; Proven business acumen, including strong analytical skills, interpretation and business problem solving; Self-directed in ambiguous situations; Strong decision-making skills and ability to delegate/lead business critical initiatives; Home office in Whippany, NJ.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor”s degree in Health Science/Education discipline; Learning and Development Experience; Pharma Sales Experience; First Line Leadership Experience, Direct Management OR Completition of Formal Leadership Development Program; Oncology Experience; Project Management.
