Sr. Director Marketing
Location: Hoboken, NJ
The Sr. Director Marketing will define marketing objectives and programs and manage the people and execution of marketing activities, which may include demand generation, corporate communications, product marketing, channel marketing and/or marketing operations.

Financial Responsibility:

  • Owns the development of certain components of the marketing budget and approval for purchases within that area
  • Ensures adherence to all spend within budget and accurate tracking of actual to budget
  • Scrutinizes all investments to ensure they align with objectives and are critical to achieve goals while delivering the best return possible to the company
  • Ensures expenses are approved and accounted for accurately in accordance with the company’s purchasing policy

Major Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Directs the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups or service areas
  • Typically manages 3-4 direct reports, including senior managers who have the overall responsibility for the successful operation of their assigned areas
  • Directs a major project or program with significant business or corporate impact
  • Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters
  • Influences policymaking
  • Translates concepts and develops programs to execute change
  • Develops guidelines, processes and procedures for assigned functional area(s) through direct reports
  • Responsible for resources allocation, including budget and personnel
  • Makes strategic decisions based on company goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership to individuals on team(s) through coaching, feedback, development goals, and performance management
  • Prioritize, assign and manage department activities and projects in accordance with the Marketing department’s goals and objectives. Adjust hours of work, priorities and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and firing for the department
  • Communicate in an effective and professional way with customers in and outside of NICE CXone
  • Follow the company Code of Ethics and NICE CXone policies and procedures at all times.

Required Education, Experience, and Specific Job Related Skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • MBA is highly preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in related job functions
  • 7+ years of management/leadership responsibility
  • Excellent communicator with highly developed verbal and written skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated experience building team unity and inspiring high performance, working with a diverse cross-functional group
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to think strategically and evaluate issues from multiple perspectives
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and define priorities

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience in B2B marketing within SaaS technology companies
