In this role you will initiate direct salescalls on account headquarters and lines of business for the assigned accounts.Portfolio size ranges from $30m and $50m annually.

Additional responsibilitiesinclude:Formulating and negotiating pricing and program contractsfor assigned accountsDeveloping and maintaining account plans outlining strategicand tactical developmental efforts within each account Executing frequent calls on customers to build relationshipsand/or to resolve problems.

Effectively communicate account initiatives andexecution plans to the DSD field sales teams and managementSupport field sales team with key local customer events andproblem resolution when necessaryProvide insight and/or lead the analytics trade andreporting that support the strategic business needsAssist with the development and training of the field salesorganization for contract management Assist in the planning, development, administration andmonitoring the effectiveness of promotional programs Maintain current customer files and pertinent databaseinformation on all accounts Compiles all required reports on a timely basisincluding sales projections, product sales results, expenses, trade shows etc.

Assist management in the research and development of newproducts /processes suitable for accountsSupports the organization in areas of product knowledge,promotional knowledge, sales performance reports, industry information andmarketing plan development and executionResponsible to conduct yourself in a manner consistent withcompany mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.The ideal candidate will have:General management competencies around leadership, JointBusiness Planning, retail operational excellence, and developing/implementingstrategyExpertise with Albertsons East Banners (Shaws, ACME & Safeway East)Expertise in Wakefern Cooperative business modelAbility to understand and apply internal and externalbusiness drivers and metrics to product profitable business resultsDemonstrated ability to achieve consistent resultsProven past development of relationships within multipledepartments and levels within each customerAbility to build mutually beneficial Joint Business Plansthat deliver against the customer needs and priorities, as well as Schwans keyobjectivesAbility to thrive in a synergistic environment by workingcross functionally with supporting teams to deliver results that some may feelare impossibleDevelop new, more efficient processes and ways to manage thebusinessAdvanced use of syndicated data databases such as IRI andcustomer portalsAbility to access and utilize shopper, category anddepartment insightsConfident communicator with an ability to interacteffectively with multi-functional and diverse backgroundsEducation: 4 Year Bachelors degree or equivalent, MBA is preferredYears of Related Experience: Minimum of 7 years with CPG company in Sales and ademonstrated history of career progressionCustomer Experience: Shaws, ACME, Safeway East and WakefernKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Competent in evaluating and interpreting primary andsecondary research results and financial information Competent in understanding food service industry marketchannels, manufacturing environments and multiple sales and distributionsystems Ability to read analyze and interpret general businessperiodicals professional journals technical procedures and/or governmentregulationsAbility to work with mathematical concepts such asprobability and statistical inferenceAbility to apply concepts such as fractions percentagesratios and proportions to practical situations Ability to develop and work within budgets.
