Material Handling Supervisor

Essential Responsibilities:
· Perform duties to lead, instruct and direct Material Handling personnel while performing similar duties.

· Responsible for the proper and efficient receipt of all incoming goods including storage, flow into production and shipment to jobsites.

· Responsible for the efficient check-out, staging and storage of finished goods.

· Responsible for all shipments, including the transport of all fabricated materials, equipment, tools and hardware to and from construction sites.

· Schedule deliveries to attain maximum transport efficiency with minimum transport costs.

· Assure that shipments are made safely and according to schedule.

· Schedule outside truckers, as required.

· Responsible for issuing vehicle condition and vehicle service reports and ensure that unsafe vehicles and equipment are taken out of service.

· Responsible for maintaining inventory items, including raw materials, hardware, equipment and tools and for performing monthly physical inventory.

· Plan manpower requirements to ensure adequate personnel.

· Train and develop subordinate employees.

Instruct, assist and check work performance.

Recommend promotions or disciplinary action.

· Explain and enforce company policy, rules, regulations and procedures.

· Ensure a safe work environment and that employees are performing responsibilities in accordance to company safety program.

· Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.

Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that is acceptable according to Bonland’s Approved Driver Criteria.

Minimum of 5 years of Supervisory experience in a related field.
