Distribution Sales Manager

The primary purpose of the Distribution Sales Manager is to ensure the continued profitable growth of Ansell through the development of Tier 2 Distributor relationships in the Alternate Care markets and the execution of designated Tier 1 projects as defined by the Alternate Care Channel Team. The DSM must obtain access to target end user markets, while gaining support from distributors to lead with Ansell product solutions. The DSM has accountability for collaborating with Ansell Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute strategic distribution plans for an assigned set of distributors, and to act as a ‘general manager’ to implement, monitor, and revise the plans with the goal of maximizing ROI for the assigned distributors. In addition, the DSM will be intimately involved with Ansell ‘Inside Sales’ team to move end user leads to ‘sales’ through collaboration with distribution partners. In this capacity, the position is responsible for analyzing industry trends to anticipate changing needs of end users and distribution partners, and position Ansell as the brand of choice in the Alternate Care markets.

* Responsible for growing and developing the territory sales volume & contribution by deploying effective market push/pull strategies and by maintaining and developing superior business relationships with distributor management and distributor sales force while keeping a current and active sales pipeline in the defined region.
* Responsible for maintaining a knowledgeable base of end-user, distributor, competitive and economic information. He / She is required to communicate this information on a regular bases to the Sales Manager.
* Assist in the creation, development and implementation of activity with T1 Medical Channel Partners’ Government Teams. He / She will report on progress and map out campaigns and objectives on a regular basis to the wider team during regular team meetings.


* Bachelor’s Degree

Job Experience:
* Minimum of five years field sales experience
* Channel management skills are preferred

Knowledge and Skills:
* Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to effectively collaborate with and help manage Tier 1 Channel Partners
* Must process expert knowledge of the Public Sector market, including end user needs, trends and preferred purchasing models

Additional Requirements (travel, etc.):
60% travel expectation
