What will you be doing?

As a Director of Project Management, you will lead our project management team and help to deliver high-visibility, cross functional projects to our customers.

This role is responsible for overall management of the project including liaising with the clients; supervising members of the project team; and overseeing project implementation, financial and administrative scope, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation of the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee, directly manage, and coach a team of project managers
  • Foster an environment of successful delivery and continuous improvement through mastery of implementation and adoption
  • Work with senior leadership and continually report and give advice on health of project and team performance
  • Working with internal stakeholders, external vendors and customers to implement a solution(s) for key customers
  • Effectively manage communication across all levels of management (both internally and externally)
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and reacts to project adjustments promptly and efficiently
  • Working alongside international teams

In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the project management team.

You will need to have strong PM skills and people management skills, and excellent communication skills to deal with internal and external stakeholders and redirect and/or escalate projects when needed.

You are someone who takes pride your organizational capabilities and has the leadership skills to ensure a project and a team runs smoothly.

Other qualities you will need to be a fit for this role include:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in Project Management with 3+ years in a people management capacity
  • PMP certification a plus, but not required
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed teams
  • Solid organizational skills, extremely high attention to detail, ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently
  • Awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application to AvePoint’s business and the industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Project; knowledge of PWA and JIRA a plus!
  • Familiarity with CRM systems including Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Fast learner with a passion for technology
