VP Product Management


This is a Contract position in East Rutherford, NJ posted September 25, 2021.

What you’ll do: Lead Product Design and Development efforts.

Drive product strategy, research market potential and define the vision for new fintech products.

Lead market and user research and analysis on behalf of the company.

Develop and coordinate consumer behavior and market conditions information gathering and analysis strategy to help the company establish and maintain ongoing relationships with new enterprise customers.

Develop and implement methods for gathering reliable data on competitors and analyze their advantages/disadvantages, marketing and product development strategies.

Apply knowledge of quantitative and statistical analysis methods to process collected data and translate it into flow charts and reports for presentation to the executives to drive product vision and strategy.

Follow industry trends and statistics to forecast market developments; develop quantitative tools such as surveys and questionnaires to obtain reliable feedback from customers.

Develop immediate and extended pro-forma income and balance sheets forecasts based on extensive competitive analysis and market research.

Apply knowledge of marketing, finance, sales, operations and product development strategies to develop and implement long-term product commercialization roadmaps.

Use lean/agile methodology to build a compelling product.

Prioritize features and bugs to meet market and customer needs.

Develop and utilize industry-appropriate analytical tools such as business models, market landscape surveys, available products evaluation tools to conduct opportunity validation research to help develop new ideas into commercially viable products.

Based on market research and data analysis, present reports to the executives on feasibility and opportunities for resources allocation for development of new products.

Drive the Go-to-Market and product launch efforts.

Assist in developing Pricing Models for products taking into consideration factors such as risk vs.

return, costs, scalability, competition, etc to help the management make informed decisions.

Work closely with the Sales team to develop a partner strategy to support the recruitment of partners and build out distribution channel tools and programs.

Lead the marketing and product launch strategies, provide execution expertise required to effectively and successfully engage with target audiences of customers, prospects, influencers, consultants, and industry commentators.

Implement and track metrics as well as success criteria for all marketing programs and activities to ensure the success of a product launch and return on investment.

Activities may include promotional pieces in industry publications, interviews, press releases, industry events, webcasts and more.

Work closely with the marketing team to rationalize, optimize, and oversee the structure and content of the public domain web portals, links to corporate websites, blogs, broadcast centers, and Facebook/LinkedIn pages to ensure increased connections within our target audience.

Will supervise 4 employees
– Subordinates and peers (2 Product Managers, 2 Senior Product Managers).

Telecommuting permitted.

What we’re looking for: Requires Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related.

6 years progressive experience.

6 years must include fintech product management experience.

6 years must also include experience (1) defining and driving product vision and strategy for software (Saas/Marketplace) products, (2) leading product design and development, (3) conceptualizing and bringing new products to market, and (4) driving customer and user research.

2 years must include product management experience in corporate cards domain.
