Veterinarian

Rockaway Animal Hospital is a busy and rapidly growing small animal general practice in beautiful Morris
County, NJ . We offer emergency and urgent care services to our clientele in addition to standard well
and sick care that a general practice typically provides. We currently employ 4 full-time doctors. We
have 24-hour nursing care with a large in-patient case load. We offer our clientele services such as in-
house laboratory, daily in-house ultrasound services with specialist reporting, digital general and dental
radiography, general and advanced soft tissue surgery services, full pharmacy managed by a Cubex
system, video otoscopy, video rhinoscopy, and critical care unit for patients requiring temperature
controlled oxygen therapy. This practice loves the challenge of advanced medical cases while
maintaining a fun-loving environment. We are always striving for quality of life for not only our patients,
but for the staff who care for them.

We are currently seeking a full-time emergency veterinarian to handle the increasing quantity of
emergency cases that are entering the hospital during the “off hours”. Our hospital prides itself on
helping our current clientele during all hours of the day, however the rapidly expanding day practice is
reflected in the overnight case load and has kept our doctor on-call in high demand. The position will
involve monitoring hospitalized patients that are in the facility for both routine procedures as well as
critical care, evaluating and providing comprehensive workups for incoming patients, admitting critical
and sick cases to the hospital and developing a comprehensive in-patient plan. The hospital is currently
staffed with an excellent, caring technical team both during the day and night.
Strong interest in emergency medicine and a desire to provide high end comprehensive care. The right
candidate will have excellent communication skills and the clinical confidence that allows them to work
independently. No minimum amount of experience, but a desire to learn and grow
professionally. Perfect position for an Intern completing their program with a desire to enter private
practice.

Matching 401 K. Two-weeks paid vacation. $1500 annually for CE expenses in addition to 2 days paid
days off for CE. 40 hours of sick time annually with the option for an end of the year payout for days
unused. All licensures, memberships and and due will be paid in full. Employer paid liability insurance.
