Presidio is currently seeking a Specialist, Learning & Development to support our HR Learning & Development team. This is a newly created role, reporting to the Senior Director of DEI & Employee Engagement. In this role, you will manage existing HR programs in the areas of employee recognition, tenure awards, community service, and create new HR programs aligned to Presidio’s corporate business strategy. You will work collaboratively with Presidio leaders, subject-matter experts, and the Sr. Director of DEI & Employee Engagement to develop, evaluate, manage, and implement new, exciting, and effective learning solutions. You will not only be hands on in designing and developing these programs, but you will also occasionally engage in the role of instructor by facilitating virtual (and perhaps classroom when we get back into offices) training. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator while also demonstrating the ability to work independently once work is assigned and make sound, problem-solving decisions. Being patient, highly organized, creative and a fast mover are all necessary traits for this role. Self-starter with excellent communication skills and a desire to help others grow personally and professionally is also necessary. Increasing program utilization, program communication and marketing, and overall engagement amongst corporate programs will be a critical part of the continued expansion of Learning & Development initiatives across Presidio.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the key team member in designing and delivering engaging training programs, scalable learning solutions and curricula to include instructor-led training, eLearning, webinars, how-to’s and other relevant materials for different internal audiences including management

  • Partner with functional leads, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and internal clients to conduct needs analysis, recommend and implement appropriate learning interventions to address skill gaps and develop customized content
  • Identify opportunities, develop, and execute plans to drive engagement and utilization of corporate programs. Lead the internal communication efforts around the marketing of programs and create/maintain program processes.
  • Assist in designing programs for leadership development, mentoring, coaching, onboarding, and career development including analyzing the success of the programs through ongoing feedback and analyzed metrics
  • Provide project management support to drive the execution of L&D initiatives including coordinating with internal/external partners, SMEs, key stakeholders, and vendors
  • Manage eLearning content in our Learning Management System (LMS) to reflect our most current product/service offerings and policies & procedures
  • Facilitate the virtual live New Hire Orientation experience for all new employees
  • Provides analyses and reports to leadership, as requested, to monitor and improve learning and development programs.

Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, L&D specific training or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the design of learning and development programs including recognition, mentoring, eLearning design, career pathing, performance management, management development
  • Experience working independently under minimal supervision
  • Experience drafting and creating corporate communications with support from internal Marketing teams
  • Experience leading programs from ideation to pilot to execution and evaluation establishing program requirements, using data and metrics to determine interventions.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced ever-changing environment
  • Ability to take direction and run with it to completion
  • Exceptional business acumen, interpersonal and communication skills (written, visual, and verbal)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining momentum and managing project due dates
  • Having a professional learning certification (ex. CPLP, CPTM) is a plus but if it’s something you strive for, we’ll get you there
  • Some experience with Learning Management Systems (UltiPro/UKG a huge plus) and maintaining course catalogs is a necessity for this role
