*Community Options, Inc.* is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.

We are now hiring a *Full-Time* *Resident Funds Management Staff Accountant *in *Princeton, NJ. *This is a fantastic opportunity for professional growth, while making a difference! The RFMS Staff Accountant is responsible for handling resident funds for all individuals where Community Options is the individual’s Representative Payee. This role will work from our National location but will provide support to staff in 11 states. The position focuses on opening/closing bank accounts for our individuals, initiating/terminating direct deposits of all benefits such as Social Security, SSI, Veterans Benefits and handling all other banking operations as needed.

*Responsibilities*

* Complete and analyze monthly reports to identify over-resourced accounts, trends, and training/retraining opportunities with all regions
* Assist Executive Directors, Fiscal Liaison’s, Intake Coordinators with managing the funds of all individuals where Community Options is the Representative Payee
* Ensures all Executive Directors, Fiscal Liaison’s, Intake Coordinators, maintains a balanced and reconciled Petty Cash Account for their region
* Assist regions with all their financial needs, including but not limited to, account opening/closing, account maintenance, transmission of withdrawal/deposit transactions, account transfers, making deposits, adding/removing check signers on each account
* Audit banking transactions of the individuals Residents Accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance within company and banking policies and regulations
* Ability to work independently on tasks and assignments that may be complex in nature. Research and gather information to make and convey effective recommendations while maintaining proper regulatory and bank procedural compliance requirements
* Work with the Director and other Revenue Cycle Team members to ensure the department is functioning in accordance with Community Options strategic, operational, quality metrics and goals
* Training new staff on the fundamentals of Resident Funds Management
* Maintains confidentiality and ensures compliance with HIPAA Policies and Procedures
* Other responsibilities as assigned

*Education and Experience Requirements*

* High School Diploma or equivalent required. College experience preferred
* Must have intermediate Excel skills (creating visual representations of data, filtering information, managing pivot tables, working knowledge of excel formulas such as IF Functions
* Work involves extensive personal and corresponding contact with others and/or is usually of a personal and sensitive nature
* Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
* Ability to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external employees
* Ability to work in a face-paced environment with various time sensitive tasks
* Actively shares knowledge and experience with team members and encourages others to do the same
* Proficient with MS Office applications
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with accounting software systems, experience with NetSuite a plus
* Ability to work independently and part of a team
