Weichert  Financial Services is looking to hire a Quality Control Coordinator to work out of our corporate headquarters located in Morris Plains, NJ or remote from home office. The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of loan files.  The position also processes related documents in a timely manner.

  • Prepares early payment default packages for Quality Control underwriter.
  • Oversees and manages the reverifications obtained by vendor.
  • Prepares, reviews and delivers credit packages for Investors, MI Companies and VA. Follows up on missing documentation, if required.
  • Requests and reviews returned re-verifications of credit report, employment, assets, liabilities, tax transcripts, field review and occupancy.
  • Processes documents received for each file and verifies the accuracy and completeness of each document.
  • Requests post-funding verification of loan documentation on loans referenced to the Quality Control Department and maintains records.
  • Reviews 1003 and documentation in file utilized for approval to determine what requires re-verification.
  • Transfers and uploads verification documents obtained by vendor from their website to Encompass.
  • Prepares cover sheet for each file and keeps record of all uploads of reverification document packages to Encompass.
  • Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents for recurring internal reports.
  • Receives, reviews, logs, and distributes all mail coming into the department.
  • Participates in Quality Control training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:  
•  High school diploma or GED
•  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred  
•  Two (2) or more years of related banking, mortgage banking and/or financial quality control experience  
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
•  Good oral and written communications skills
•  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
•  Strong analytical and problem solving ability
•  Strong attention to detail
•  Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
•  Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)

  • Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks to meet timelines for completion.
