Pre-Weigh Operator

This is a Contract position in Edison, NJ posted January 12, 2021.
VOLT Workforce Solutions has partnered with a manufacturing company in personal care and skincare products located in Edison, NJ. They are currently in need of Pre-Weigh Operators for the 2nd shift due to company expansion! In this role you will be picking, returning, and keeping all materials needed for bulk manufacturing, while watching constantly for a safe and clean workplace.

About the Job
- Complete weighing of assigned materials before deadlines to meet daily production schedule
- Maintain necessary safety equipment and follow established safety procedures
- Accurately weights materials according to procedure
- Maintains a clean working area
- Follow all SOPs
- File documentation when necessary
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees
Qualifications needed:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in Cosmetics/ Pharmaceutical/ Nutraceutical/ Flavor & Fragrance Industry
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
- Excellent communication and basic math skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Acute attention to detail (will be pre-weighing large scale products for compounders!)
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary- heavy lifting at times (up to 50 lbs.)
- Use of Stand-up Forklift
Open positions are available are for all 3 shifts- Monday to Friday
** Training will all be for 2-4 weeks during 1st shift- no exceptions**
2nd shift: 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday -Friday
Pay Rate
$16.00-$18.00 +shift differential
