Part Time Concierge

Admiral's Walk Condominium Association

This is a Contract position in Edgewater, NJ posted November 24, 2021.

We are a condominium association and we are looking for three (3) part-time concierges.

  • 4:00PM-12:00AM-Friday & Saturday
  • 4:00PM-12:00AM-Saturday & Sunday
  • Midnight-8:00AM-Sunday & Monday

Responsible for the resident-guest-visitor-employee traffic control and resident-guest-visitor-employee information and communication. Liaison between residents and their guests or employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· When a resident enters the lobby, the concierge will stand up and greet them (good morning, good afternoon, food evening, etc.)

· Maintains a pleasant, workmanlike relationship between residents and guests.

· If you see a resident needs assistance, assist them (examples: shopping carts, elevators, unloading of packages from car to bring into lobby)

· Ensures that the Association property and equipment, within his/her area of responsibility, is not abused, is in top condition, is properly stored and checked out when needed.

· Ensure that proper safety precautions are taken for personnel, residents, guests, property and equipment according to Association policies and procedures.

· Notify the Property Manager, Super, Security or the Supervisor on duty of any and all deficiencies that may impact on the comfort and safety of residents, visitors or employees.

· Challenges all guests, visitors and off-site workmen upon entering the Complex.

· Announces all guests, visitors, employees and off-site workmen via telephone intercom to residents.

· Maintains a written log to include all guests, visitors, employees, off-site workmen, work orders, mechanical malfunctions, apartment intrusion alarms, parcel deliveries, radios, move-ins and all other incidents in his area of responsibility.

· Maintains a written elevator log, detailing all problems and elevator incidents.

· He/she is in possession of a copy of the emergency procedure manual, resident roster, handicapped resident roster and to review and update these as so directed by the Property Manager.

· Acts as the communication center for his/her building in case of an emergency.

· Makes certain all directives issued by the Super/Property Manager are carried out as they may relate to his/her area of responsibility.

· The Concierge is responsible for the front desk areas, each shift must wipe down area, as well as, the closet behind desk, and the closet to store packages next to employees’ bathroom.

· Conducts himself/herself according to Association policies and procedures.

· Midnight shift Concierge is responsible for watering the planters, front and rear entrances (seasonal with a watering can)

· Midnight Concierge makes sure lobby looks free of leaves and garbage prior to porter coming in at 8:00am

· Remains on his/her post until properly relieved or so scheduled.


· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Computer literacy is necessary.

· The position requires a blend of administrative experience, organizational ability, supervisory skills, telephone skills, demonstrated communicative ability, both orally and in writing. The work of the position necessitates correspondence and writing proficiency; a neat, professional appearance and an aptitude for public relations in a customer service environment.


· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents or employees of organization.


· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


· None.

Pay: $11.00 – $15.00 per hour
