Packaging Lab Lead

nn DESCRIPTION: nn nnAdept Group is recruiting a Packaging Lab Lead to support our Global Food and Beverage client in the East Hanover, NJ area.

The individual selected for this role will be responsible for leading all activities involved in supporting and maintaining the packaging lab facilities for this client.

This is a contract to hire opportunity.

nn nn n nn nn  RESPONSIBILITIES: nn Perform requested packaging testing, share data with requestor, maintain records of test results.

Provide oversight and coaching of packaging testing.

Create and maintain internal test methods and SOP’s for each instrument.

Provide guidance and expertise to engineers.

Maintain an organized, stocked and tidy lab environment at all times.

Meet with other Lab Leads monthly as part of Global community of practice.

Support trials at Pilot Plant as needed.

Assigned as Packaging Lab Safety steward, including participating in Safety committee and monthly lab inspections nn nn nn QUALIFICATIONS: nn Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM subject 5+ year’s experience in packaging lab, with keen eye for safety and organization Mastery in all packaging lab testing equipment and willingness to stay current in testing methods Perform all duties with a focus on Technical rigor Strong fundamental understanding of packaging material testing Ability to communicate testing results and identify outliers Strong verbal, reporting and data communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to prioritize projects and/or escalate time constraints Ability to manage budget for current year and planning for upcoming Proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to support miscellaneous tasks as needed for the Packaging team nn nn
