Description Permanent position for an Electrical Engineer for design and development of electrical components. The Electrical Engineer will provide project leadership for the design, test, and development of electrical components. Design products to industry and agency standards, including UL, CSA and European standards. Prepare reports to document the results of design studies, trade studies, failure analyses, and test programs. Prepare prototype assemblies, and perform tests. Evaluate field problems and recommend design enhancements. Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and troubleshoot production problems. Work with other departments coordinating designs and engineering documentation releases. Manage project schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Find ways to expedite time to market and improve the New Product Development process. Work with suppliers to address any issues and/or review of new products. Review and approve production samples supplied to Engineering. Requirements BS Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and developing electromagnetic components and systems. Experience with SolidWorks preferred. Experience with Engineering simulation software, EFD-flow, and ANSYS Maxwell preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities. Familiarity with North American or European industry standards (i.e., UL, CSA, ATEX, IECEx, etc.). Ability to prepare FMEDA reports associated with Functional Safety directives is a plus. Ability to coordinate activities related to ISO documentation is a plus. TTXERGX
