Bundling Production Line Lead

This is a Full-time position in Carteret, NJ posted November 21, 2021.

Aquamar is currently seeking a Bundling Production Line Lead in our Carteret, NJ facility and will report to the Shift Production Supervisor.

($1000 sign-on bonus
– openings on 2nd shift)

Role Summary

The Kani/Bundling Line Lead coordinates, monitors, and supervises the activities of the production bundling line area ensuring goals are achieved in support of assigned Team goals.

He/she is responsible for the supervision of their assigned line ensuring the product meets all Quality and Food Safety Specifications in regard to product specifications while complying with all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

He/she is also responsible for ensuring the sanitation of the bundling area and performing line start-ups and shutdowns as required.

This includes maintaining and cleaning the equipment and tools/supplies used in the Kani/Bundling area.

Requirements

· Responsible for understanding safe, quality, and efficient operation of line equipment.

· Ensure all necessary reports are completed correctly, legibly and in a timely manner.

· Collaborate with QA to ensure that issues during the shift are being addressed and that the product is meeting all target specifications.

Makes proper and necessary adjustments and involve others (Shift Supervisor, Plant Manager).

· Monitor all activities in the bundling area, immediately reporting downtimes to Lead, Supervisor, Manager, Maintenance or Quality Assurance when downtime cannot be self-corrected.

· Ensure slitter and in-line flaker function properly to produce consistent, quality product

· Facilitate good communication and planning with other area leads and operators to ensure that changeovers are done timely, safely, and effectively.

· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

· Safely and efficiently work with hazardous cleaning agents.

· Meet or exceed the plant productivity goal for the shift.

· Equipment troubleshooting.

· Complete all training required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience in food manufacturing required

· Standing long periods of time

· Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, face mask, gloves, ear plugs, safety boots, and smock)

· Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

· Be 18 years of age or older

· Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules

· Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English and Spanish languages

· Working knowledge of Safety, Quality and Food Safety, and Material Management systems and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

· 3+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of machines with preference given to experience in food processing/manufacturing.’
