Job Description Quality Control Technician 3rd Shift Ensure understanding and implementation of the Food Safety Management System
● Understand and implement facility documents such as Quality Manual, Policies, HACCP Plans, SOPs, Instructions, Log Forms, and Date Code sheets.

● Conduct Daily Monitoring ○ Pre-operational monitoring before production begins including inspection of cleanliness of the line, employee Good Manufacturing Practices, pest activity, presence and status of equipment, condensation, and ATP swab testing.

○ Operational monitoring during production including inspection of cleanliness of the line, employee Good Manufacturing Practices and dress code, pest activity and condensation.

○ Quality and food safety monitoring including proper ingredient usage, internal labeling, temperature, weight, length, packaging, date code and pallet pattern.

○ Critical Control Point monitoring to ensure products are being produced in a safe manner.

○ Post operational inspection including assurance that several points along the lines have been cleaned appropriately.

● Monitor Production Practices ○ Ensure production employees are utilizing appropriate log forms.

○ Ensure proper use of production measuring equipment.

● Identify and document nonconformities, inform appropriate personnel and mitigate if possible.

● Assist USDA Inspectors to aid in continual improvement of the facility.

● Calibration of lab equipment such as thermometers and pH meters.

● Train new QC personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS High School, or Associate’s Degree, or BS Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or science based program preferred More than 1 year of experience in food quality fields/audited food manufacturing sites/HACCP certified (USDA facility QA or QC experience preferred) is a big plus Experience in Asian Foods or trained in FSSC22000/SQF/BRC is a big plus MUST be able to work 3rd Shift & Overtime (including weekends) as needed We are an E-Verify participant Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check is required.
