(sm)PrimaryResponsibilities:Answers all phone calls from 3 phone ques (scheduling, highpriority, and overflow)Intakes all demographic information for new patientsWorks with incoming referralsUpdates demographic information for existing patientsCollects insurance informationRequests medical records from the pcp / referring physician fornew patientsSchedules / Reschedules / Cancels patient’s appointmentsRoutes calls throughout the office to the appropriate departmentRelays messages from patients to the appropriate individualIntakes consultation requests from physicians for the on callphysicianFollows up on consultation requests until request has beencompletedWorks the at your service web site for the HPN referralsActs as a back-up for the department assisting in scheduling,incoming referrals and phone callsYou’ll be rewarded and recognizedfor your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give youclear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as providedevelopment for other roles you may be interested in.RequiredQualifications:High school education or equivalent experience1 year(s) of call center experienceGood customer service skillsTime management skillsIf you needto enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen forsymptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.E.,entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealthGroup-approved symptom screener.
