Job Summary:
While the primary role is that of a Mac Systems and Network Administrator, there are many great opportunities to get involved and learn about more advanced dev-ops oriented t asks, if desired. This hybrid position (on-site until fully proficient in job duties) provides company-wide network service where the network includes voice, data, and video; evaluates and recommends solutions; plans and executes implementation; includes networking hardware and associated software to provide a robust, secure, and stable network infrastructure; maintains familiarity with standard security, privacy, communications, and telecommunications protocols.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Essential Duties:

  • Uses Mosyle M DM to support a network of 1 00+ M ac users, while also managing a handful of PC/Windows users in manufacturing, warehouse, office and remote environments
  • Manages cloud backup systems regularly to ensure proper operation and functionality
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, upgrades our VPN, Routers, Switches, and DNS / DHCP servers
  • Performs regular penetration testing on our internet connection to identify and resolve any vulnerabilities
  • Manages and maintains our V OIP system to ensure system availability and minimize downtime
  • Administers and manages our Google Suite account for email and other Google services
  • Manages our Ubiquiti / Unifi Wifi network access points
  • In the event of an emergency, must be available after hours as part of the Emergency IT support team
  • As needed, must be willing to perform repair, replace, upgrade services for customers using workstations, monitors, servers, all-in-one printer/scanner units
  • Familiarity with RAID Storage and Virtual Machines
  • Manages Linux server tasks (ie: software updates, shell scripting and cron job maintenance)

You are a PLUS Candidate if you have:

  • Previous experience with Nagios
  • Previous experience with database replication
  • Previous experience with LAMP Server maintenance and administration
  • Previous experience with FileMaker software (not a must)

Required Skills:

  • Strong Customer Service skills, and an active contributor to the Team, who also excels on individual projects
  • Exceptional communication skills with all levels of an organization (verbal, written, and nonverbal).
  • Attention to detail
  • Project Management

Technical Experience including:

  • At least 3 years experience managing systems networks, configurations, security and access
  • At least 3 years experience as a System or Network Administrator for at least 50 users help Desk o r customer support experience for creating trouble tickets, assisting and training users, creating training materials and/or documentation and fulfilling equipment requests (equipment moves, new drop cables, provisioning new equipment, etc.)
  • Solid networking skills and experience adding drop c ables and patch panels, rack-mounting equipment, devices, configuring subnets/VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and WiFi
  • Working knowledge or experience with configuring firewalls
  • Working knowledge or experience with scheduled tasks, cron, or bash scripts
  • Working knowledge adding, configuring, users and groups on Directory Server and file permissions on network shares
  • Experience managing VoIP phone systems
  • Experience with assisting or planning strategic technology direction
  • Experience creating documentation and providing training for non-technical staff
  • Experience working with managing cloud service (Google, Microsoft, AWS)
  • Experience managing external IT services/vendors/consultants

Pay: $30.00 – $41.00 per hour
