is a 130-bed acute rehabilitation hospital providing comprehensive Inpatient care for orthopedic, neurologic, multi-trauma, brain injury, stroke, pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation needs.

As a
Respiratory Therapist at Encompass Health you will
:

  • Work closely with occupational and physical therapists to maximize the functional capacity and improve the patient’s activity tolerance by utilizing new technologies like the Life2000, a portable vent best utilized for patient’s suffering from end-stage COPD and emphysema.
  • Utilize respiratory led protocols to treat the facility’s most complicated patients.
  • Work closely with pulmonologists and medical team to treat, care for, and decannulate patients with trachs to discharge safely to a home setting.
    • 83% trach decannulation rate in 2022
  • Work alongside our case management team in discharge planning – oxygen supplies, non-invasive ventilator, trach supplies, and medication education.

We use evidence-based
practice guidelines to treat our patients. We utilize our clinical outcomes to assess and improve our treatment interventions and programs. We participate in a national outcomes database, which provides benchmarks and sophisticated outcome reports to help us continually analyze and improve our patient outcomes.
License or Certification
:
– Current New Jersey State License in Respiratory Therapy.
– CPR certification
– ACLS certification preferred.
Education, Training and Years of Experience:
2 years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy with complex medical patients preferred.
Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Degree program.
