Mountainside is a joint venture between Hackensack Meridian Health and Ardent Health Services, one of the country’s leading private hospital management companies.We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Nurse Manager—Dialysis Services to join the Mountainside Team!What You’ll DoThe Nurse Manager—Dialysis Services will be responsible in collaborating on the planning, budgeting, staffing, and education program development in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.The successful candidate will be able to:Manage and coordinate the clinical activities of outpatient and inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programsEnsure adequate levels of people resources to meet business needs and financial parametersManage team members, specifically: coach/counsel team members; plan, monitor and appraise job results; and develop staff by providing information, educational and growth opportunitiesDevelop and interpret hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care; enforce adherence to regulatory requirements; measure health outcomesagainst standards; make and/or recommend adjustmentsMaintain the stability and reputation of the unit(s) by ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements including: Department of Health, End-Stage Renal Disease Network 3, Centers for Disease Control, and The Joint CommissionEstablish and maintain communication between ancillary departments, physicians, nursing personnel and other healthcare professionalsDevelop and direct the implementation of dialysis policies and procedures within assigned units; and recommend and/or participate in the development of inter-departmental policies and procedures as applicableInterpret policies and objectives of nursing services to staff and health center communityDetermine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations; monitor costs and expenditures of unit clinical activities and authorizes expenditures as appropriateDevelop, implement, and evaluate performance improvement plans in response to opportunities in patient care areas, and assured patient safety outcomesEstablish a compassionate environment by providing emotional support to employees, patients, friends and familiesMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societiesPerform any and all other duties as assignedWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing requiredMinimum of 3-5 years’ clinical nursing experience in dialysis is required; at least 2+ years of supervisory experience preferredCurrent and valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent BLS certificationExcellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and customer service skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skillsAbility to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptionsAbility to work autonomously, and give directions to othersRemain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful or crisis situationsDemonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment or programs used in the organization, knowledge of Epic a plusDemonstrate maturity and accountabilityWhat We OfferCompetitive payMedical, dental, and vision insurance401k with Company matchCompany paid basic life insurance and long term disability coverageGenerous paid time off, including an additional extended illness bank6 Paid HolidaysTuition ReimbursementAdvancement and career development opportunitiesHackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
