Digestive Health & Nutrition Science Fellowship 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Digestive Health & Nutrition Science Fellowship, are to:

• Gain the skills and knowledge to conduct medical and scientific assessments and critically review ingredients, products, technologies, processes, and competitor products relevant to the dietary supplement space;
• Learn to translate science into consumer health benefits, within the dietary supplement space;
• Gain exposure to cross-functional team promotional material review and learn to function as the medical resource for this team;
• Learn to substantiate claim language to be used in messaging, advertising and other promotional materials based on competent and reliable scientific evidence;
• Learn to develop and present scientific training material for sales, marketing, and customer teams;

· May also include:

• Exposure to global medical team and understand how to work collaboratively across different markets;
• Exposure to regulatory science, relevant to dietary supplement category;
• Attendance at scientific meetings to present data and to provide scientific support at medical booths;
• Drafting and submission of scientific publications, and collaboration with key opinion leaders;

· Other information:

• The contract duration is estimated to be between 12-24 months.

WHO YOU ARE

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required:

• PhD degree in any Life Sciences or PharmD;

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Nutrition Science or related degree;

• Thorough knowledge of sciences relevant to nutrition: physiology, metabolism, nutritional biochemistry, clinical research;

• Good understanding of the key pre-clinical and clinical trial design elements, including statistical considerations;

• Strong competencies in the interpretation of scientific data;

• Strong communication skills, oral and written, as well as interpersonal skills.
