This Senior Financial Analyst FP&A role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase leadership potential, financial skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement projects.

The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to establish him/herself as a strong business partner to leaders throughout the organization as well as a subject matter expert across his/her P&L and Balance Sheet responsibilities.

The role will report to the Senior ManagerFP&A and is responsible for Corporate FPA work streams, including forecasting and management reporting (P/L, balance sheet and cash flow), related analysis, and ad hoc requests from management.

The position willsupport a number offunctions including Finance, Legal, HR, and Executive.The role provides a great opportunity to expand business acumen and learn about AdvanSix business and product lines.
Responsibilities Include:
Prepare monthly reporting and financial analysis for Senior Management, including explanations of variances to forecast, plan, and prior periods and other ad hoc analysis as requested
Support the AOP, STRAP and forecasting processes within the FP&A group
Lead functional cost reviews and analysis for Finance, HR, Executive, BOD, Legal,and Product Stewardship functions
Develop presentations for month-end financial reporting, Leadership Team and BOD, as well as adhoc requests from Senior Director of FP&A, CFO, etc.
Assist in quarterly earnings analysis and presentations
Identify, understand, analyze and provide insight into key performance metrics
Identify incremental process improvements in work processes, make appropriate recommendations, and creatively solve problems.
Proactively provide insightful, actionable, and accurate financial reporting analysis and must be able to communicate the information to non-finance stakeholders
Other responsibilities include contributing to broader FP&A organization initiatives, including other strategic projects, optimization of systems, etc
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business related discipline
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an finance and/or accounting role
Experience with financial statements and ability to analyze results against plans and prior periods (P&L, BS, Cash flows, Working Capital)
Additional Qualifications:
High level of initiative to recognize what needs to be done, takes responsibility for accomplishing the required tasks and can work independently
Ability to support change and optimization for FP&A processes and practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement projects
Proven Leadership potential with strong business acumen and analytical skills
Comfortable working within tight deadlines, paying attention to details and accuracy of reported results
Teamwork oriented and able to work cross-functionally with business partners
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and business processes
Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and advanced knowledge and utilization of Excel and SAP
