IT Financial Analyst

IT Financial Analyst within the IT Organization will have responsibilities for the financial planning, tracking, reporting and analysis of the operations within the department.

The position also interfaces with key stakeholders in Finance, Legal, Operations and Business Development.Support the CTO, VP of Development and VP of Infrastructure in the development, documentation and communication of the annual IT budget.

Track expenses and variances to budget and work to stay on budget and scope.

Participate in the annual and quarterly planning process to ensure headcount and budget considerations are properly and thoroughly represented.Manage the data collection and reporting of information related to IT development capacity, work assignments, timesheets, reporting and planning of capacity into the future.Assist in the management of budgets and expenditures for non-personnel costs.

This includes assisting in the management and negotiation of significant vendors and outsourcing contracts.Strong working knowledge of Operating Expense budgets, Capital Expenditures, ROI calculations, and work/resource assignment and tracking.Understand the various parts of the IT department and how they impact/influence the financial results.Understand how work is requested and delivered outside of IT.Experience with process improvements and financial tracking.

Must have worked in an environment where IT effort is billed out to clients (i.e.

a professional services firm.)Strong communication skills – business and client facing.Strong working knowledge of Excel.Some experience with JIRA and other project development tools.General Ledger and other financial planning skills such as cost projections, ROI models, capacity/demand tracking.10 years working experience in a professional environment.5 years’ experience with financial or budget information.Collaborative and working well with many different levels of skill within and outside of IT.Accountable for the understanding and management of the financial information within IT.Innovative with how financial tools and skills can be leveraged.Customer-centric view of how this role can enhance and improve customer outcomes.Type: Contract to HireCategory: AF Accounting/Finance
