Financial Analyst

This position is responsible for portfolio management across Spencer’s and Spirit. Responsibilities will include assisting Spirit deal makers with individual deals (renewals analysis, sales potential and analysis, landlord performance review and comparison etc.), as well as Spirit lease processing during peak season, if necessary.

  • During Spirit season daily reporting on deals to date with KPI’s
  • Assist deal makers with lease related questions, and provide information.
  • Validate landlord payments and answer questions as they relate to the respective location
  • Coordinate receivables with consignment and report on the activity
  • Report on and track the aging of Spirit deal statuses. Follow up as necessary
  • Review real estate packages to ensure quality financial information is presented, as well as prepare meeting summaries and follow up on meeting decisions and action items
  • Data management – update sales plans as per committee review
  • Competitive analysis and reporting
  • Compile daily check requests and maintain check log
  • Internal communication on deal activity
  • Landlord review and analysis (deal comparison on renewals and new stores, data for portfolio reviews etc.)
  • Year End Review to include performance and expense analysis
  • Real Estate weekly and monthly reporting to guide and understand the business
  • Ad hoc reporting as necessary to support real estate driven initiatives


  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High level analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi task and deal with ambiguity
  • Independent decision making ability
